Established in 2026, Kinkané calls us to read and connect in three languages: Fante from the Akan people of Ghana — Kinkan meaning “to read”; Ga from the coastal people of Ghana — Kané meaning “Read!”; and English — Kin meaning “your people or relations”, used here to reference your reading community.

So we established Kinkané as a truly global brand because we believe that reading belongs to everyone and we were determined to democratise choice, access and availability.
